Rochester Hills Man Accidentally Shoots Himself While Cleaning Gun
The victim didn't remove bullets before cleaning the gun, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A 22-year-old Rochester Hills man accidentally shot himself in the stomach Sunday while cleaning his handgun, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The victim is in stable condition at Beaumont Hospital – Troy, according to the release.
Deputies responded to the man’s residence on the 3000 block of Hessel Avenue about 8:25 p.m. Sunday. The victim failed to unload to .45 caliber handgun before cleaning it, and shot himself in the lower right abdomen, according to the release.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics from the Rochester Hills Fire Department before he was taken to the hospital.
