Rochester Hills State Of The City Address Mixes Business, Fun

Mayor Bryan Barnett will be delivering his 12th State of the City address at 7 p.m. March 28 at Stoney Creek High School.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — It’s business mixed with fun. Rochester Hills’ annual State of the City Address is coming up and it’s known to be one of the most entertaining speeches around. Mayor Bryan Barnett will be delivering his 12th State of the City address at 7 p.m. March 28 at Stoney Creek High School.

“I love telling our story in a unique and engaging way,” Barnett said in a press release. “We attempt each year to exceed our guests’ expectations and transform a traditional and sometimes even boring event into an experience that provides meaningful engagement.”

The annual address will highlight new business growth, provide an update on Innovation Hills and share planned initiative. Organizers also promise “a few surprises.”

“Showcasing the many musical talents of the city, guests will experience a night of lively music where they can clap, sing, and dance along to the city’s story,” the city’s announcement read. “Last year, more than 600 people attended the State of the City and the event was recognized by the Michigan Municipal League as one of the most entertaining speeches in the state.”
