Rochester Hills Woman Arrested for Assaulting Husband, Injuring Police Officer

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies called to a Rochester Hills business to investigate a woman allegedly beating up her 90-year-old husband.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A 72-year-old Rochester Hills is accused of assaulting her 90-year-old husband and a 49-year-old employee at a Rochester Hills business Friday afternoon, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to the business, located on the 1900 block of Star Batt Drive, about 3:50 p.m. Friday. When deputies arrived, they determined the woman had assaulted her husband, as well as a 49-year-old Lake Orion woman who works at the business.

The woman became combative with the arresting officer, and as he was attempting to handcuff her, both fell to the floor, according to the report. The deputy, who landed on his left shoulder, complained later of pain and numbness in his left arm, the sheriff's office said.
