Rochester Increases Parking Rate By 25 Cents
City officials said the rate increase is to help upgrade its parking meter technology.
ROCHESTER, MI — The Rochester City Council voted to increase parking rates in the city to help upgrade its meter technology.
Parking rates will increase in the city of Rochester in February from to $1 to $1.25 per hour.
City officials said the upgrades will include a transition from 2G to 4G technology to improve functionality, including screen quality, battery life and ease of use.

The city is currently has four free parking areas, which include 102 spaces near Pine and Sixth streets, 132 spaces near Water and University streets, 88 spaces near Water and East Third streets, and 47 spaces near Main and Diversion streets.
