Rochester, Rochester Hills Voters Have a Few Contests Nov. 3
In Rochester, seven people are running for four open positions. Rochester Hills voters will elect a mayor, decide council races.

The Oakland County Elections Division has released its official candidate list for the Nov. 3 municipal elections. Here’s what’s on ballot in Rochester and Rochester Hills.

Four people are seeking seven positions on the Rochester City Council. The top three vote getters will be elected to four-year terms, and the fourth-place finisher will be elected to a two-year term:
- J. Michael Bantjes
- Ben Giovanelli (incumbent)
- Jeremiah Z. Glembocki
- Ann Peterson
- Rob Ray (incumbent)
- Kim Russell (incumbent)
- Steve Sage (incumbent)

In Rochester Hills, Mayor Bryan Barnett is running as a write-in candidate, and faces challenges by Jim Stevens and Ravi Yalamanchi are running for mayor.
Incumbent Councilman Adam Kochenderfer is unopposed in his bid for re-election to District 2.
Two newcomers, Susan Bowyer and Julie L. Granthen, are both seeking a four-year term to represent District 3.
Three people are seeking two four-year at-large terms on the City Council. They are:
- Dale A. Hetrick (incumbent)
- Bill Soule
- Mark Tisdel (incumbent)
Rochester Hills voters will also decide whether to renew a levy of 0.0891 mills to support the Rochester Hills Older Commission Millage.
Also on the ballot is renewal of the Rochester-Avon Recreation Authority’s 0.1948 mill.
