Rochester Summer Music Theatre's 'The Little Mermaid' Opens Wednesday

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Disney's children's classic, "The Little Mermaid," opens Wednesday at Stoney Creek High School, where the Rochester Community Schools’ Summer Music Theatre will bring the life the characters that delighted in the animated film and hit Broadway musical.

Ashlyn Moran stars in the title role, with Alex Cook as King Triton, Kyle Mason as Eric, Mina Kambakhsh as Ursula, Mallory Boyd as Flounder and Jacob Mancinotti as Sebastian. More than 100 students from Rochester Community Schools and surrounding districts are involved in the cast.

The Summer Music Theatre's 43rd annual production, "The Little Mermaid" is directed by JoAnna Pillsbury. Cat Menzies is the vocal director, James Ferden is the pit director, and Tyler Capa is the choreographer.

The performances will be at 7 p.m. July 27 through 30 with a matinee at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at Stoney Creek High School, 575 E. Tienken, Rochester Hills.
