Royal Park Hotel Raises Money for Oxford Scholarship
Pizza With Purpose Raises Money for Tate Myre Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
As the community continues to support and grieve with the Oxford community after the high school shooting that occurred late last year, many are seeking ways to support the students at Oxford High School.
Like many local businesses, Royal Park Hotel has several team members with close ties to Oxford High School.
In an effort to partner in support, RPH is bringing back Pizza With Purpose to raise money for the Tate Myre Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, founded by his family through the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester.

A portion of proceeds from Pizza With Purpose will go directly to the scholarship fund, and to honor Tate’s love of football, pickup of the pizza kits will be just in time for Super Bowl Sunday.
“We are all still grieving the loss of the Oxford High School students and grateful to be able to contribute in some small way to help our community after this senseless tragedy,” said Royal Park Hotel General Manager Sue Keels.

The Tate Myre Memorial Endowed Scholarship fund will provide graduating Oxford High School students with financial aid for college tuition.
Each pizza kit is $42 + tax – also in honor of Tate’s football jersey #42. The kits include provisions for two pizzas (pizza dough, San Marzano tomato sauce, a cheese blend and pepperoni) and a dozen house-made chocolate chip cookies baked by one of our employees – and a relative of Tate’s.
Additional options include cauliflower crust for $4 more and also beer and wine beverage add-ons.
Orders can be placed through 4 p.m. Feb. 10 by calling PARK 600 at 248.453.8732. Pizza kits can be picked up on Feb. 12 between 2-4 p.m.
The Royal Park Hotel has done other Pizza With Purpose fundraisers; notably in April 2020 where proceeds were used to donate food to local first responders and again in November 2020 to support the Salvation Army of Metro Detroit.
