RSC Lightning Soccer travel program will become Michigan Lightning

Rochester Soccer Club is proud to announce that starting in the 17/18 season, RSC Lightning travel program will become Michigan Lightning

Rochester Soccer Club is proud to announce that starting in the 17/18 season, RSC Lightning travel program will become Michigan Lightning.

Why the change? Frankly, it’s all about our commitment to offer our players and families the best travel soccer experience, not just in Rochester, but in Michigan.

How will we do this? Well, we have already started! Our teams already compete, and are recognized in the best leagues in Michigan and the Midwest including DA, MRL, MSPSP and MYSL. We train at our own meticulously maintained private facility in Auburn Hills. Our coaches are nationally licensed and bring an unparalleled experience and a love of the game. In addition, we follow an internationally recognized age-specific curriculum called the Meulensteen Method. It is a program developed by Rene Meulensteen, whose 25 years of professional experience includes time at Manchester United, under Sir Alex Ferguson. This proven curriculum has been used by players like Rooney and Ronaldo to maximize their skills and focus on their long-term soccer success. It makes good players great, and great players elite!

How will this change affect the RSC Recreation league? The short answer is, not at all. This league will still be called RSC. It will continue to be a fun and social way to teach kids in the Rochester and surrounding communities to love the game of soccer. Michigan Lightning will simply provide the best travel soccer option for those recreational players who want to take their game to the next level.
