Second Oxford School Board Member Resigns: Report
Just a week after the Oxford School Board President resigned, a second member resigned Monday, according to the Detroit News.

OXFORD, MI — Just a week after Oxford School Board President Tom Donnelly resigned, a second member from the Board resigned Monday, The Detroit News Reported.
Korey Bailey, the board's treasurer, told the News he reigned because he doesn't like the direction the school board is moving in after a Sept. 9 special meeting, where officials discussed pending litigation about the deadly Oxford school shooting that left four students dead and wounded seven others.
Angry parents across the district have been calling for the resignations, saying the board failed to protect students leading up to the deadly shooting. They've also cited trust issues and believe they're not being told the truth about the investigations.

The school district rejected an offer from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel to investigate the events leading up to the deadly Oxford school shooting for free. Instead, the board decided to hire two independent law firms to investigate the events.
The school district is also facing numerous lawsuits, including from a Detroit lawyer representing the families of Oxford shooting victims. Last month, Attorney Ven Johnson filed a motion to add Oxford High School security guard Kimberly Potts to the lawsuit after he said Potts thought the shooting was a drill.
