Sen. McMorrow Secures $500,000 For Innovation Hills Park

As the park continues developing, the $500,000 aims to provide a bridge across the Clinton River.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Sen. Mallory McMorrow (D-Royal Oak) said Wednesday she has secured over a $1 million in Michigan's 2022 budget in additional funding for specific projects throughout the 13th Senate district, including $500,000 for the Innovation Hills Park expansion in Rochester Hills.

The expansion aims to provide a bridge across the Clinton River to unlock 48 acres of green space, as well as appropriate pedestrian access and suitable way finding for the area.

"Rochester Hills Innovation Hills Parks expansion includes a universally-accessible play space for children of all abilities, along with 48 acres of additional green space for residents to get outside and enjoy, McMorrow said in a news release. "Its location gives our residents access to a number of Michigan trail systems, and connects our surrounding cities as a community."
