Shelby Twp. Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash On Rochester Rd.: Sheriff
Oakland County officials believe the car was a white BMW 300 series model between 2012-2019.
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI — A Shelby Township man was killed Sunday morning hit-and-run crash in Oakland Township, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.
Benjamin Kable, 22, was in the southbound lane of Rochester Road near Whims Lane when he was hit by a car at 5:49 a.m., officials said. The driver never stopped after the crash.
Officials believe the car was a white BMW 300 series model between 2012-2019.

"A terrible crash like this is horrific enough, but to flee the scene and leave a person in the road like trash is unforgivable," Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. "We need the public’s help finding this person."
Police do not know if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

Anyone with information about the driver or the car involved in the crash was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP. Crime Stoppers pays a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Tipsters remain anonymous.
