Teen Ejected From Car, Killed In Crash In Oakland County: Sheriff

PONTIAC, MI — A 19-year-old man was killed early Monday morning after crashing his car in Pontiac, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Police said the crash happened on Franklin Road at Hughes Avenue at 1:18 a.m.
The teen was speeding in a 2016 Dodge Charger south on Franklin Road where he lost control, according to police.

The car jumped the curb, struck a utility pole, fire hydrant and tree, according to police.
The teen driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car, according to police.

The teen was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, according to police.
A passenger in the car, a 20-year-old man, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash, according to police.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Police did not identify the victim.
