Text-to-911 Service Quickly Gets Help to Rochester Hills Man
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office, which has the second-busiest dispatch center in the state, began offering text-to-911 service in 2015.

Rochester Hills, MI — A Rochester Hills man who has difficulty hearing used the Oakland County Sheriff's Office's text-to-911 service to report an oven fire at his residence about 7:45 p.m. on the night of June 29.
The Rochester Hills Fire Department was dispatched to the man's residence on the 3800 block of Dearborn was extinguished, according to a news release.
