Top Scholar earned numerous Theater Awards

Rebecca Piepszak attending Northern Michigan University to study Musical Theatre

Rebecca Piepszak is the daughter of John and Cindy Piepszak and she resides in Troy, Michigan. Named an Avondale High School Top Scholar, Rebecca has been a member of the Avondale Theatre Company throughout high school, serving on the Student Board and winning the Company Kudos Award for being an essential part of the company in both her sophomore and junior years. She participated in ten of the troupe’s shows including four MIFA competitions where she won numerous Excellent and Superior Awards for acting. She was a member of the company for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which brought home the 6th MIFA State Theatre Festival Championship Trophy in thirty years of ATC history. In addition, Rebecca sang in the Concert Choir and served on the Choir Student Board her sophomore year and as a co-section leader her senior year. As a soloist, she participated in the MSVMA Solo and Ensemble Festival, receiving a 1st Division rating at the State level both her freshman and junior years. In addition, Rebecca was part of the Avondale Forensics team, placing 2nd in Duo Poetry at the Mackinac Tournament as a junior. Rebecca played softball, earning her Varsity letter in her sophomore year, and was also on the swim team as a freshman. She served three years on the Class Board. Rebecca plans to study Musical Theatre at Northern Michigan University.
