Top Scholar headed for Michigan State University

Avondale High School senior celebrated for academic achievement

Avondale High School Top Scholar Jenna Plumer resides in Troy, Michigan with her parents Eric and Nikki Plumer. Jenna is a member of the National Art Honor Society and has served on the Class Board for four years. She played Avondale High School volleyball for four years, on the Varsity team her junior and senior years, and serving as Team Co-captain her senior year. She won the MVP Award in her freshman and senior years. In addition, she played Club volleyball and was selected Team Captain her junior year. Jenna was also on the Varsity cheer team as a freshman. As a senior, she was part of the Green Team and the Art Club and won a Scholastic Art Award her senior year. She was also a Freshman Mentor, volunteered at the Avondale Middle School Summer Volleyball Camp, and volunteered in kindergarten classrooms. Jenna was awarded the Red Hawk Excellence Scholarship and the Creative Arts Dean’s Scholarship from Miami University, the Oakland University Talented Scholar Award, and the Grand Valley Award for Excellence Scholarship. In the fall, Jenna will be attending Michigan State University. She is considering studying Historic Preservation, Architecture, and Family Psychology.
