What's Your Vision for Olde Towne Auburn Road Corridor?

Rochester Hills officials invite residents to fill out a survey to help transform the Auburn Road Corridor into thriving business district.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – City officials want public input on a plan to transform the Auburn Road Corridor, the area from Culbertson Avenue to Dequindre Road that is also referred to as Olde Towne or the Brooklands, into a vibrant business district.

To gather input, the city is asking residents to take a 10-minute survey, also available on the city website. Residents can also take part by emailing the Planning Department at planning@rochesterhills.org.

The city is encouraging as much local participation as possible, Mayor Bryan K. Barnett said.

"Having residential feedback is critical to the success of our projects," Barnett said in a news release. "It ensures that our plans contain a vision that the community can stand behind and support."

Besides the survey results, city officials will consider input from a team of professional consultants, city staff, boards, commissions, a steering committee, the public and surrounding communities.

City planners hope to use this feedback to find innovative ways to encourage people to spend their time along the corridor. Recommendations from the study will include new investments, possible road improvements and public space design.
