The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into the woman's death and is awaiting autopsy reports.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A 29-year-old Washington Township woman may have fatally shot herself early Sunday morning while inspecting a gun she planned to buy from a Rochester Hills man, authorities said.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said its deputies and Rochester Hills firefighters were dispatched to the home about 2:37 a.m. to the man's home on the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive, where the woman was found lying on the kitchen floor, unconscious and bleeding from the head. A black semi-automatic pistol was near her on the ground.
The 24-year-old resident of the home told authorities he was showing his handgun to the woman because she was interested in buying it from him. She asked to see the gun and shot herself with it, the resident of the home said.
