1 Hurt, 4 Arrested After Shooting Outside Oakland Co. HS: Officials
An Oak Park student was taken to a nearby hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was in stable condition, officials said.
OAK PARK, MI — Four students were arrested in connection to a Friday night shooting outside Oak Park High School that injured another student, according to the Oak Park Department of Public Safety.

The shooting happened during an altercation after a high school varsity basketball game, officials said.

Police arrested the shooter and recovered a handgun in the area around Oak Park High School after the shooting, officials said. Three other students were arrested in connection to the shooting.
Of the students arrested in the shooting, three of them attend Southfield A&T High School and the is from Redford Thruston High School, according to the Oak Park School District.

The victim is not an Oak Park resident but does attend the Oak Park Schools NOVA Academy, school officials said.
Both Oak Park High School and Nova Academy were closed Monday as officials continue investigating the shooting.
The schools were expected to reopen Tuesday, and the district plans to have grief counselors and crisis support teams.
