5 Things to Do This Week

Monday – The City Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. on the third floor of . Agenda items include issuing a special events permit for the Clay, Glass and Metal Show on June 11-12; reviewing the pension and retiree health care actuarial valuation reports; and approval of a construction agreement to resurface 12 Mile Road from Woodward to Main Street. Commission members will also meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in City Hall for special budget workshop sessions.

Tuesday – The city of Royal Oak Senior Citizens Advisory Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. at the . Agenda items include the Beaumont Foundation, ROOTS and SMART updates. 

Wednesday – The Downtown Development Authority meets at 4 p.m. on the third floor of City Hall. The authority discusses myriad issues affecting the downtown area, ranging from parking to new businesses, such as Emagine Theatre. The meeting agenda will be available early this week.
