Community Resource Day: More than 30 community services will be represented in a central location at the Community Resource Day 2015, to be held Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Genesis Church, 309 N. Main St.
Parent Workshop Series: The Royal Oak PTA Council and Royal Oak Middle School are sponsoring a five part Parent Workshop Series. Parents with students in grades kindergarten through 12 are welcome to attend the entire series, or workshops that are of interest. All workshops are free. “Avoiding Helicopter Parenting (But Still Be in the Airport)” is the topic for the next session, to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Royal Oak Middle School. Holiday Arts and Craft Marketplace: A 33-year tradition, the ROHS Holiday Arts and Crafts Marketplace takes place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the high school, 1500 Lexington Blvd. The juried event not just a high school event, but a community tradition featuring more than 100 artisans and crafters. All items are handcrafted.
No School: School will not in session for students Nov. 25-29 for the Thanksgiving break.
Jingle Bell Jazz: The annual Jingle Bell Jazz program incorporates community service into the Royal Oak High School instrumental program, which will support the Welcome Inn Day Center, which serves homeless individuals in South Oakland County. The program will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the high school, 1500 Lexington Blvd.
