Remember the old adage - an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Well, there may be some truth to that. According to a study from Florida State University, women who started eating an apple daily experienced a 23% drop in levels of "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and a 4% increase in "good" choleserol (HDL) after only six months.
Ranked as one of the Ten Healthiest Foods by Medical News Today, apples have additional health benefits including improvement in neurological health, prevention of dementia, and stroke risk reduction.
