Autopsy Results Back on Woman Found Unresponsive in Car
Brittany Jones, 21, of Southfield was found unresponsive in the driver's seat of her car, which was parked in a Royal Oak municipal lot.

ROYAL OAK, MI – A 21-year-old woman found unresponsive in her vehicle in a municipal parking lot last November died of natural causes, Royal Oak police said.

Police said that with the Oakland County Medical Examiners Office’s findings, the investigation into the Nov. 22 death of Brittany Jones, of Southfield, is now closed.

Royal Oak police received a call about 2:49 a.m. on Nov. 22, 2015, about a woman who appeared to be passed out in the driver’s seat of her Ford Mustang in the parking lot t 100 S. Main St.
Responding officers couldn’t wake Jones, and after repeated attempts, forced their entry to the car. Jones was breathing and had a pulse, but was unresponsive. She reportedly stopped breathing while Royal Oak firefighter-paramedics were treating her.

She was pronounced dead at William Beaumont Hospital.
