International Cuisine, Multicultural Entertainment, Holiday Shopping Come to Royal Oak

Bridging community and cultural divides through diverse food spanning the globe

ROYAL OAK, MI — As you are well aware, our country and even metro Detroit have been plagued by a tremendous amount of divisiveness over the last year. In an attempt to bridge these community and cultural divides, The Quintessential Event Company will be hosting the World of Flavors International Food Festival this Thursday from 6 pm to 9:30 pm at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. With 12 local restaurants and food trucks participating with menus spanning the globe, an impressive lineup of multicultural entertainment, an expansive artisan and local business shopping emporium and more, we are seeking to create an event – our last event of 2016 – that is focused on togetherness through a mutual love of diverse food.

Imagine for a moment an event where you can be enjoying a very authentic street taco one moment and sushi next and then perhaps some Moroccan pastries to finish it off – this is the essence of the World of Flavors international Food Festival. Our participating local food vendors include 168 Asian Market, Fuji Buffet, Chavos Tacos, Detroit Stew, Kola Restaurant and Ultra Lounge, Krishna Catering and Restaurant, La Feast Mediterranean Cuisine, Marconi’s Pizza, Sai Sweets, Taste of Marrakesh, Mito’s Turkish Doner, Teriyaki Madness, The Spot Food Truck and What’s Up Dawg.

World of Flavors is not just about food though. Our fun line up of entertainment will spice up the evening. From a Caribbean steel drum band to Polynesian hula dancers to belly dancing to a Croatian folk dance troupe, the event’s main stage will be alive with amazing multicultural sights and sounds.

Attendees can also wrap up their holiday shopping at World of Flavors with over 40 artisans and local businesses onsite selling their wares. From handmade soaps and candles to jewelry and apparel, there are treasures to be found for everyone.

Advance ticket purchases are encouraged. Adult tickets are $10.00. Tickets for children 12 and under are free. All paid tickets include $5.00 in food vouchers that are redeemable that night with any of our participating food establishments. Tickets can be purchased online at www.myfavoriteshowsandevents.com or by calling (248) 809-9644. Standard priced tickets are also available at the door.
