Brief: Shrine Girls Hoops Routed At Home

Down 39-19 at halftime, the girls basketball team couldn't rebound against Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes High Thursday night at home. The 73-41 loss dropped Shrine's record to 6-3.

Oakland University-bound senior Halle Wangler still managed 21 points for Shrine, including 10-10 from the free throw line. Wangler also collected 10 rebounds. Senior Mattie Baltrusaitis added 10 points for the Knights.

OU-bound Laker Lauren Robak scored a game-high 28 points to best her future teammate Wangler. Our Lady of the Lakes hit 13 three-pointers in the game including five in the fourth quarter.

The next action for Shrine is at Cranbrook Monday. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
