An adventure into the heart of Jivamukti, where the lively spirit of Ashtanga meets five soulful principles that shape every breath and movement. You’ll unravel the secrets of the Yoga Sutras, bringing ancient wisdom right into your practice.

Whether you’re starting fresh with yoga, or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop promises to ignite your body, mind, and spirit. We’ll wrap up the afternoon with soothing pranayama and meditation, leaving you refreshed, centered, and inspired. Come play, sweat, and breath new life into your spirit and your yoga practice. Your Teacher: Durga Devi’s spiritual journey began in her teens, inspired by meditation and mantra. For over twenty years, she’s woven together the depth of Hatha Yoga—rooted in the teachings of Krishnamacharya—and the wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism’s Karma Kagyu tradition. Her spiritual names were given by revered teachers: Durga Devi from Bhagavan Das (Neem Karoli Baba lineage), and Karma Tsering Palmo upon taking refuge and Chenrezig empowerment in 2023. A certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher (200 RYT), known for her playful classes and fearless encouragement to break through self-imposed limitations. Her ongoing study of Ayurveda brings practical tools for healing and balance to all her classes. Her teaching is shaped by the blessings of Ram Dass, Bhagavan Das, Radhanath Swami, Mark Whitwell, Sharon Gannon, David Life, and Lama Nancy. She honors their message of love and unity in all she offers.

According to Director and Co-Choreographer Timothy Higgins, “This production is special for many reasons, especially the musical score by Rodger's &amp; Hammerstein! Audiences will hear all the beloved songs that generations have come to love.” 
This 2013 Broadway adaptation by Douglas Carter Beane has all the elements of the beloved classic – but with a modern twist. The storyline blends classic and modern attributes, introduces hilarious moments, several new characters, and yet remains the heartfelt tale of a resilient, caring, smart and kind woman, Cinderella, who falls in love with her prince. The magical onstage transformations and charming story will amaze audiences of all ages. 
 
Grosse Pointe Theatre’s production of Rogers &amp; Hammerstein’s Cinderella is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of The Rodgers &amp; Hammerstein Organization. 
 
Higgins invites everyone to experience this magical production that will enchant audiences with this story’s message of hope, love, and kindness.
