Comcast Service Interrupted in Southeast Michigan, Nationwide

The cable and Internet company has lost cable and Internet functionality for many of its customers, including in southeast Michigan.

Service has been restored for Comcast customers after widespread “temporary” outages that affected much of southeast Michigan and the East Coast, according to the company.

A nationwide outage Monday left thousands of Comcast customers without television or Internet. In southeast Michigan, affected areas include north of Royal Oak near Clawson, Birmingham and Sterling Heights, according to a downdetector.com outage map.

According to Comcast’s website, the outage reports began Monday morning.
