Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day benefits Children’s Miracle Network kids at Beaumont Children’s Hospital
On Thursday, Aug. 8, Metro Detroit will be hit with a rare summer blizzard.
More specifically, it will be a day of Dairy Queen Blizzard Treats to benefit area children. For the seventh year in a row, Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day invites people to come out to area stores, enjoy an ice cream treat and raise funds for services and equipment for hospitalized children at Beaumont Children’s Hospital.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a national charity that works with 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. The group ensures that when a donation is made, it stays in the local community, so that every dollar given goes to help local kids.
“Miracle Treat Day continues to grow every year and participating in this event is a terrific way to cope with a hot Michigan summer,” says Tom McGannon, vice president, Beaumont Foundation. “We appreciate our DQ partners and their ongoing support to raise funds to help Beaumont Children’s Hospital kids through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.”
