Detroit Zoo Gets Wild with Its Lights

The annual holiday tradition featuring 5 million LED lights opens Friday, but be warned — it could sell out.

If you haven’t already, it’s a good idea to reserve tickets for the Detroit Zoo’s Wild Lights, a display of 5 million LED lights on trees and buildings and forming animal sculptures.

The display opens Friday, Nov. 20, and continues for 24 nights through Dec. 31. On select nights, Wild Lights also features live entertainment, arts and crafts, ice carving and an exhibit featuring the work of Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
