Donut Shop Owner Interrupts Break-In: Royal Oak Police Blotter

Breaking and Entering

1016 S. Main (Main Donut Stop), 9-3-14, 11:40 p.m.: The owner of the Donut Shop heard a noise in a backroom of the business. When he went to check on the noise, he saw a subject coming in through a window. The owner confronted the suspect and he retreated back out the window and fled the area on foot. The suspect is described as a younger white male, short dark hair, thin build, wearing a green shirt, and blue jeans. The case is currently under investigation. 14-29928

Larceny from an Automobile

25000 Block of Woodward, 8-30-14, 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole the driver’s side front tire and rim from his Pontiac G6. 14-29583 3600 Block of Hillside, 8-31-14 – 9-1-14, 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Complainant reported someone stole several items from his unlocked vehicle which was parked in his driveway. 14-29623

4400 Block of Auburn, 9-1-14, 12:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole both driver’s side tires and wheels from his Ford Fusion. 14-29629

5150 Coolidge (Meijer), 8-17-14, 1:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole a piece of lawn equipment from his work truck while it was parked in the store parking lot. 14-28935

222 E. Eleven Mile (Library), 8-28-14, 1:40 p.m. – 2:10 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole his son’s unlocked bike from the library bike rack. 14-29068

901 E. Eleven Mile (Wilson’s Market), 9-1-14, 5:17 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown black male suspect, stocky build, 35-years-old, stole her unlocked bicycle from the front of the store while she was inside. 14-29649

215 W. Fifth (O’Tooles), 9-01-14, 1:30 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole her iPhone from her purse while she was in the establishment. 14-29749

Eleven Mile & Washington, 8-29-14, 1:34 a.m.: A security guard stationed at the Arts, Beats, & Eats event observed an unknown suspect draw graffiti on an event banner. The suspect fled prior to officer’s arrival. 14-29135

1700 Block of Dallas, 8-28-14, 11:04 p.m.: Complainant reported two (2) unknown suspects scratched the paint on her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway. 14-29124
