Dr. Frattarelli appointed president of Beaumont Medical Group
Dr. Frattarelli will develop success/effectiveness programs for Beaumont Medical Group, a 1,000-member, multispecialty, physician group.

David Wood, M.D., Beaumont Health chief medical officer, has announced the appointment of Daniel Frattarelli, M.D., as president of Beaumont Medical Group, effective April 9.
In this role, Dr. Frattarelli will develop initiatives regarding success and effectiveness in clinical care, education, research, financial and operational performance for Beaumont Medical Group, a 1,000-physician strong multispecialty group, employed by Beaumont Health.
Dr. Frattarelli has more than 20 years of experience in health care. He previously served as physician executive, Primary Care Network for Beaumont Medical Group, and chief, department of Pediatrics at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn.

Throughout his career, Dr. Frattarelli has served as program director for pediatric education, has received National Institutes of Health grant support and contributed to numerous publications. He has also had several hospital and professional appointments, including interim president, Oakwood Physicians.
Dr. Frattarelli chaired the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Drugs, and co-authored guidelines and initiatives to make medication safer for children. Working closely with Congress and the FDA, he was instrumental in strengthening pediatric medication research and labeling laws through the passage of the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act.

In addition, he is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, was awarded the Dr. Clarence S. Livingood Humanitarian Award and has been recognized as Faculty of the Year many times.
Dr. Frattarelli earned his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed his pediatric residency, chief residency, and fellowship in pediatric clinical pharmacology at Children's Hospital of Michigan.
Prior to his career in medicine, Dr. Frattarelli served in the U.S. Navy's nuclear power program. He was born at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn.
