Dream Cruise Accident Takes Out Portable Toilet

The multi-vehicle accident happened Friday morning on northbound Woodward Avenue near 14 Mile Road.

ROYAL OAK — Police in Royal Oak are investigating a multi-car accident that left three people with minor injuries and destroyed a portable toilet on the eve of this weekend’s Woodward Dream Cruise, according to media reports.

Accident investigators believe that a vehicle traveling south on Woodward Avenue crossed the center lane and hit a northbound vehicle head-on.

Two other vehicles were also involved in the accident, authorities said.

A portable toilet that was set up for this weekend’s festivities along Woodward Avenue, was flattened and is a total loss.

Fortunately, no one was inside the portable toilet at the time of the accident.

First responders were called to the scene. It’s unclear if the injured individuals were treated at the scene or taken to a local hospital.

The Dream Cruise is a one-day event that draws thousands to Woodward Ave to see the various classic cars on display and on parade.
