Driver Smashes Into Abandoned Metro Detroit Building: Police
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, Michigan State Police said.

ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, MI — A driver is recovering after smashing into a vacant building in Royal Oak Township early Thursday morning, Michigan State Police said.
State troopers said the driver crashed into the building on Wyoming Avenue near Northend Avenue, which is between 8 Mile and 9 Mile roads, at 4 a.m.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, police said.

Troopers also gave the driver a ticket for driving with a suspended license, police said. They don’t believe alcohol or drugs are factors in the crash.
State police tried contacting the owner of the abandoned building, which sustained heavy damage in the crash, but were unsuccessful.
