Basic English Grammar: What you Might Have Missed in High School ~ This workshop will help participants learn basics of English grammar, sentence structure and punctuation. Participants will learn to identify the parts of a sentence (e.g., subject and predicate), syntax (how sentence parts fit together and function), and how to write a coherent paragraph. Participants will be able to construct a clear and well-structured sentence, paragraph and short essay. This workshop is for anyone who needs to learn or improve basic English skills.
Intermediate Writing Skills ~ This workshop will focus on helping the participant build upon his basic writing knowledge and skills. We will discuss the use of verbs, pronouns, adjectives, and prepositions. We will also discuss the power of writing in the active voice versus in the passive voice. Participants will also learn how to edit their own writing. This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn to write and communicate effectively and powerfully.
