The annual tree lighting event at City Hall will be highlighted by an appearance by Santa Claus at 6 p.m., caroling by Stagecrafters performers, performances by the Salvation Army Band and Royal Oak Children's Choir. The switch on the municipal tree will be officially flipped at 7 p.m. The lighting is highlighted by a 4-8 p.m. Marketplace at Farmers Market with more than 60 local artisans with original gift ideas and crafts. Hot dogs and hot chocolate will be complimentary at Farmers Market.
