Facial Bar Spa Opens First Michigan Location Oct 13

ROYAL OAK, MI – Skin care meets health food in a cocktail-style menu of services offered at Skinphorea Facial Bar. The company's first shop is opening in Royal Oak, with others to follow in Michigan and nationwide.

The Skinphorea facial menu will feature all-natural 30-minute express facials, and guests will be treated to a complimentary drink or smoothie during their treatment.

“As women are becoming more health-conscious and wanting to look and feel their best to excel in the work force, my business partner, Shareese Shorter, and I wanted to change the dynamics and improve on the standard facial experience," said co-founder Jessica Hayes-Stallings in a press release. Hayes-Stallings is a licensed skin care therapist. "We also wanted to bring skin education back to the forefront of the spa industry as well as incorporate express skin services for women on the go, without breaking their budgets.”

The 30-minute services, all starting at $49, can have an extra $10 "shot" added. Facial services include chemical peels, enzyme peels, LED light therapy, microdermabrasion and oxygen facials. Skinphorea will also offer body-waxing services.

“You can order customizable vegan facial cocktails from our menu with the help of our skincare therapist, to ensure that you're getting the right treatment for your skin type and still make it back to the office in time for your afternoon meeting,” said Shareese Shorter, co-owner and director of business development.

Skinphorea's ribbon-cutting ceremony and media preview will Thursday, Oct 13, at 5:15 p.m., at 621 S. Washington Ave. in Royal Oak. The grand opening - family & friends event is scheduled for Friday, Oct 14 through Sunday, Oct 16 during normal business hours. All customers will receive 10% off spa services and retail products during the ribbon cutting and grand opening events.
