First Day of School

 My family first moved to Royal Oak in the summer of 1963. I was 8 yrs old, and entering the third grade at Oak Ridge elementary school. Whenever I think of the things I took to the first day of school, I always think of a new box of Crayola crayons. What do other Patch readers remember taking to the first day of school?
