First Payment Presented in the Gilda's Club Metro Detroit "Burn the Mortgage" Campaign

The first payment in the Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit “Burn the Mortgage” campaign was presented to David Provost, chairman and CEO, Talmer Bank by Donetta Behen, chair, Gilda’s Club Board of Directors, Laura Varon Brown, executive director & CEO, Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit and Bill Pumphrey, president, Cooper Standard North America.

Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, a non-profit organization offering free social and emotional support for those facing cancer, and Cooper Standard, a global automotive supplier, joined forces to create the “Burn the Mortgage” campaign. Lead by Cooper Standard’s North American President Bill Pumphrey, and with the support from other auto suppliers and a determined Gilda’s Club community, the campaign is working to lift the burden of the daunting mortgage on the clubhouse where Gilda’s Club hosts their many free programs.
