Aaah how times have changed with all the Social media in our world. Folks who normally wouldn't give their opinion are able to hide behind anonymous masks and spew their "opinions."
It's sometimes this "hiding" that gets to me. If you are going to voice your opinion "be a man" and show who you are.... don't hide behind a picture of a kitten or your "mrkitten2020" moniker. This is why I started my blog so that I could share interesting thoughts, events or stories and you would know who I was.
Opinions can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and sometimes people like to hide their "helpful" thoughts through well intended emails.
This has been happening to me quite frequently as I am running the Holiday Shop at my kids school. It seems everyone wants to help me out through their "wise words" but none of them actually signed up to be the Chairperson of this work.
Don't get me wrong... I am so glad to have all of the wonderful parent volunteers...THEY ARE AWESOME AMAZING PEOPLE!!! And they haven't been the ones sharing their thoughts with me for the most part. But there have been a few over the past months, although well intended, are making me crazy!! I get that you want to help and think telling me what to do is "helping"...but it's not and in fact it makes me want to say to you..."Next year you should take the Chairperson role on and then you can use all of your fantastic ideas."
The holidays are stressful enough and I took on the chairperson role to help out my dear friend who is the president of our PTA (I just love her to pieces). I have got it covered and have been planning this since August. I have a ton of volunteers to help with our special event so thank you for your "words of wisdom" but I got this one...It isn't my first rodeo :)
