Important Deadlines to Apply for Royal Oak Schools of Choice

Children must reside in Oakland County to be eligible to attend Royal Oak elementary and middle school.

Parents in Oakland County have a limited opportunity to enroll their grades 4-8 students at Royal Oak Schools under the Schools of Choice program for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Schools of Choice applications will be available through June 26 on the district website, www.royaloakschools.org, and at the District Enrollment Office, 800 DeVillen, Royal Oak.. The Enrollment Office is open daily from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The district is also accepting Schools of Choice applications for students who will be in kindergarten through third grade during the 2015-2016 school year. Applications for these grades will be accepted through Aug. 7.

Only children who live in Oakland County are eligible to apply. The assignment of students to schools and classrooms will be on a space available basis. Once students are enrolled as Schools of Choice students in the district, they may continue to attend through high school graduation, provided their enrollment is continuous.

For all Schools of Choice enrollments, the district reserves the right to refuse to enroll any non-resident applicant if that applicant is or has been suspended from another district within the preceding two years or if the applicant has ever been suspended from another district.
