Important Elementary Open House, Enrollment Information for Royal Oak Parents
Royal Oak Schools of Choice applications are available on the district's website.

Royal Oak Schools will host Elementary Open Houses at each of the district’s six elementary schools March 24-26.
Here’s the schedule:

Each Open House provides families the opportunity to visit the building and meet the principal. Information about instructional programs and student successes will be shared.
Royal Oak is a Schools of Choice District for Oakland County residents in kindergarten, first, second and third grades. Once a student is enrolled as a Schools of Choice student in the district, he/she may continue to attend through high school, provided the enrollment is continuous.
Schools of Choice applications are now available on the district website, www.royaloakschools.org.
Additional enrollment opportunities for grades 4-7 may be considered by the school board in the spring. Monitor the website for additional information.
Parents may enroll students at the district’s centralized location at 800 DeVillen, Royal Oak, between 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Enrollment procedures must begin by 4 p.m. because the office closes at 4:30.
To register a child for school, parents should bring the following with them to the enrollment office:
- Two proofs of residency – current utility bill or cable bill, lease agreement, tax statement, mortgage statement, or a notarized affidavit of residence (if living in someone else’s home, along with two proofs of their residency);
- Birth certificate (original or certified);
- Driver’s license (of parent or guardian);
- Immunization records ;
- Vision screening required for Kindergarten;
- Completed enrollment packet (available at Board Office or any school, or may be downloaded at www.royaloakschools.com).
