Listen: Kid Rock's Emotional 911 Call After Assistant Killed in ATV Crash

Michael Sacha, 30, who died on the rock star's Nashville estate, was a Michigan native who lived in Royal Oak for a time.

NASHVILLE, TN – An assistant to Kid Rock who died Monday in an ATV accident on the rock star’s property in Nashville, was originally from Michigan and at one time lived in Royal Oak, according to reports.

Authorities said in a statement that Michael Sacha, 30, was ferrying guests from a cookout on Rock’s White Creek estate to a waiting Uber cab around midnight when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed. He was returning to the residence at the time, and there were no guests aboard the Polaris ATV.

Sacha, a 2008 graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in business administration, had worked in real estate management and advertising sales before teaming up with the Detroit country-hip-hop-rock superstar, the Detroit Free Press reports.

In a statement, Ritchie said:

"He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with. I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I cannot imagine how they must feel. Myself, the band, our family, friends and coworkers are devastated over this loss.

"We've already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumors before they spread," Ritchie said.

"I’m asking everyone to please respect our and his families' privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend."

Ritchie and the person who made 911 call said they were waiting for Sacha so they could go the airport, but they became concerned when he didn’t show up on time.

Ritchie was due back in Michigan Monday, but decided to remain in Tennessee so he could accompany Sacha’s body back home, The Tennessean reported.
