Man Says He Was Shot At 10 Times On Oakland County Freeway: Police

There were no reported injuries in the shooting as police continue the investigation.

HAZEL PARK, MI — A man said he was shot at ten times Saturday night while driving on Interstate 75 in Oakland County, Michigan State Police said.

State troopers said the man was driving south on Interstate 75 near Interstate 696 in Hazel Park at 9:15 p.m. when he noticed a white Ford Focus following him for several miles.

Just as the man crossed Interstate 696, he heard around ten gunshots and saw muzzle flashes coming from the Ford Focus, police said.

After someone fired shots from the car, the Ford Focus exited the freeway near 9 Mile Road, while the victim pulled onto the shoulder of the freeway, police said.

As state troopers made their way onto the freeway, they couldn't find the victim who initially told police he was parked on the shoulder of the freeway, police said. The victim also wouldn't answer his phone, police said.

State troopers later determined the victim drove himself home and reported the shooting to Dearborn Police after noticing the bullet holes in his car, police said.

There were no reported injuries in the shooting as police continue the investigation.
