Menswear Company Launches National “Suitember” Campaign
Created by Baron's Wholesale Clothiers & Todd's Menswear owner, suit retailers from across the country participate to support nonprofits.

David Elkus, owner of Baron’s Wholesale Clothiers in Farmington Hills and Todd’s Menswear in Royal Oak, Michigan, today announced the launch of SUITEMBER, a national partnership of men’s suit shops across the country.
Suitember is designed to highlight both the benefits of dressing well and helping local charities in each store’s community. While “anything goes” dress codes have spread across the country, customers say wearing a suit makes a guy more effective. It helps them think at a higher level, feel more professional, and represents who they strive to be. In short, suits project a powerful image.
Baron’s will be fundraising with the Friendship Circle of Michigan. Baron’s Wholesale Clothiers is closed to the public, however, Thursday evenings in September are reserved for supporters of the Friendship Circle. Not only will they be able to buy their menswear at wholesale prices, 10 percent of their sales will go back to the Friendship Circle.

The Friendship Circle is a nonprofit, which supports 3,000 individuals with special needs and their families. Its innovative programming teaches children across southeastern Michigan and northern Ohio life skills through social, recreational, vocational and therapeutic programming. Friendship Circle also provides support to individuals and families struggling with isolation, addiction and other family-related crises.
Todd’s Menswear, a longtime “must shop” for fashion-forward, value-conscious men, is hosting a Trade in Trade Up event for Suitember. Customers will receive rebates up to $50 for a fresh, new suit with each well-loved suit they trade in. These suits will be donated to Unified – HIV Health and Beyond, formerly the AIDS Partnership Michigan. Unified – HIV Health and Beyond is a nationally recognized, multi-service center created to advance prevention and increase access to healthcare and community research in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Suits donated will be used for their Closet service providing new outfits for their clients.

Joining Baron’s and Todd’s for Suitember is Giblees in Massachusetts, Joseph Orlando Clothiers in Pennsylvania, European Fashions in Florida, SuitMart in Houston and Roger Stuart in Los Angeles.
To help spread the awareness on this new monthlong celebration, Elkus created a SUITEMBER website, which includes the history of suits and top reasons to wear one. Some of those reasons include looking better, more powerful and respectable; the ability to express oneself; feel better; and work more efficiently.
