Near-Record Crowds Attend Arts, Beats and Eats - But Few Arrests
Only two people were arrested, both for disorderly conduct on the final day of Royal Oak's big four-day street festival.

Some 400,000 people attended the four-day Arts, Beats & Eats street festival in downtown Royal Oak over Labor Day weekend.

It was the second-largest crowd in the 18-year history of the festival, city officials said.

Only two arrests were made, both of disorderly conduct on Monday, the final day, police said in a statement.
Police issued 1,595 parking tickets, most of them for parking permit violations. The city earmarks parking revenue for park improvements.
The Royal Oak Fire Department assisted several individuals with heat-related issues due to temperatures that hit 92 degrees.
