Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) seeks community input for cancer awareness assessment

OCHN is partnering with the National Behavioral Council Cancer CoP work group to conduct a countywide survey assessing cancer awareness.

In recognition of September being Cancer Awareness Month, Oakland Community Mental Health Network (OCHN) is partnering with the National Behavioral Council Cancer CoP work group to conduct a countywide survey assessing cancer awareness.

The survey is being sent to individuals receiving public mental health services, family members and friends, community agencies; and is posted on OCHN's website. Included in the survey are questions designed to determine an individual’s knowledge about his or her family history, symptoms and signs of cancer, and contributing factors to the disease.

OCHN leads a provider service network that assists approximately 25,800 Oakland county citizens, as well as manages a $300 million dollar budget. This budget provides funding for more than service 300 sites.
