Oakland County Non-Profit Giving Away Free Gas Monday Afternoon

OAK PARK, MI — A Farmington non-profit group will be giving away free gas at an Oak Park gas station Monday afternoon.

The Prophetic World Group will give away $20,000 in free gasoline at the Shell Gas station, located at 13500 Eight Mile Road, near Coolidge Highway. Starting at 2 p.m., the first 500 cars will get $40 of free gasoline.

The giveaway also comes as gas prices in the metro Detroit area have fallen to $4.64, which is 23 cents lower from just last week, according to AAA.

Prophetic World Group focuses its mission on mentoring children and rooting out violence. They give away money to Black-owned businesses and scholarships to students.
