OCHN Releases Request for Qualification (RFQ)

OCHN Releases RFQ for Specialized Residential and Community Living Support Services

Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) released a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for Specialized Residential and Community Living Support (CLS) service providers on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

Only Specialized Residential and CLS service providers with existing contracts funded through Oakland County’s public mental health system can respond to the non-competitive RFQ.

“Choice, independence, and safe housing are areas of interest frequently identified by people we serve,” explains OCHN Chief Network Officer, Matthew Owens. “Keeping their needs and opinions at the forefront of all our decisions is essential to protecting and promoting quality service delivery.”

The RFQ does not require people receiving Specialized Residential and CLS services to move unless they want to relocate to a new home within OCHN’s network. The choice is theirs to make.

Approximately 2,500 people currently receive Specialized Residential and/or CLS support from 140 agencies within OCHN’s service network. Service delivery to these individuals will continue without disruption.

Following the RFQ, Specialized Residential and CLS service providers will contract directly with OCHN instead of a Core Provider Agency (CPA). OCHN anticipates all providers with existing contracts will meet qualifying criteria and secure a contract. The expected completion and implementation date of the new contracts is October 1, 2018.

Four community forums to discuss the RFQ are being held at OCHN’s administrative offices in Troy. Two forums for individuals served and their family members are scheduled on March 28th, from 6-8 p.m., and March 29th from 10 a.m. to noon. Forums for service providers are scheduled on March 26th and 27th from 2-4 p.m. Registration for these events is available on OCHN’s website at www.oaklandchn.org / Training.
