According to Judy Davids, the city’s community engagement specialist, there is no delay in police service in Royal Oak, but she said people might be confused when their calls to the main number are transferred to Madison Heights.

Davids said callers should use the Royal Oak main number for non-emergency calls, but should not call the Madison Heights police directly for Royal Oak matters.
