Prankster Puts Glue in Door Locks: Blotter

During the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 5, police made 40 arrests, including a handful after warrants served at Royal Oak motels.

Paint Party, a Royal Oak business that offers step-by-step instruction from a local artist with a bottle of wine or other beverages and a snack, reported an unusual crime to police last week.

Sometime between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1, an unknown suspect put glue in the door locks of the business, prohibiting entry.

it was one of two reports of malicious destruction of property investigated by police from Oct. 29-Nov. 9.

In the other case, a man living in the 4300 block of Manor reported that someone cut all four of the tires of his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway between 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 2.

Breaking and Entering

3300 block of Greenfield, 11-1-15, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered her apartment and stole an undisclosed amount of currency and miscellaneous jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry. 15-40791

900 block of Lockwood, 11-02-15, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect broke into her home by removing the screen and sliding open a window on the front of the residence. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of currency and coins. 15-40900

Larceny

316 S. Main Street (Ale Mary’s), 10-29-15 – 10-30-15, 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he left his iPad at the business. When he checked for his iPad the following morning he discovered it had been stolen by an unknown suspect. 15-40444

3000 block of W. Thirteen Mile, 10-29-15 – 10-30-15, 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered her apartment and stole an undisclosed amount of currency from her bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry. 15-40860

100 block of N. Main Street, 10-15-15 – 11-02-15, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Complainant reported he locked his black 2012 Cannondale men’s bicycle in a stairwell of an apartment building. When he returned he discovered it had been stolen by an unknown suspect. 15-41169

Larceny from Automobile

600 block of S. Troy, 10-31-15 – 11-01-15, 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his car in a parking lot. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his wallet. 15-40787

111 W. Twelve Mile (City Motel), 11-1-15, 10:45 p.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with outstanding misdemeanor warrants for traffic violations. He was arrested without incident. 15-40810

111 W. Twelve Mile (City Motel), 10-31-15, 4:48 p.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for unpaid child support. He was arrested without incident. 15-40613 28300

Woodward (Seville Motel), 10-31-15, 10:28 p.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for disorderly conduct. He was arrested without incident. 15-24965
