Rock And Roll-Themed Concert Bar Opening In Oakland County Next Week

The bar was founded by KISS bandmates.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Rock and Brews restaurant, founded by KISS bandmates, will open its Royal Oak location next week.

The concert bar/restaurant will open at 208 West Fifth Avenue (former HopCat space) on March 19.

The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with an American classic menu, such as burgers, wings and pizza. There will also be local and craft beers on tap.

The Wildflowers, a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band, is also scheduled to play at 8 p.m. that night. You can get tickets here.

It's the first of an already full lineup of live entertainment on the bill for the new venue.

The bar/restaurant was founded by KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. It features three floors: level one is the main dining area; level two is a live concert stage and bar and level three is an open-air rooftop Sky Lounge with a DJ.

The space also includes dozens of TVs and a 16-foot LED screen for sports and entertainment.

Rock and Brews currently has 18 locations across the nation, with spots in California, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
